The tittle

We finally did it, the most simple task turned out to be the most complicated; the title. We decided to leave the title at last because we wanted to take in the experiences, mistakes and changes to influence our decision,


We looked up at inspirations for titles of different psychological/thriller movies, most of them had name of places such as "shutter island" or names of people/nicknames such as "donnie darko" and the most common one was title depicting an action or adjective that describes the movie. What i was able to depict is that the titles of these type of movies were short and relatable, so that's something considered in picking my own title.

Next we read this article to develop an insight on how to come up with the title and how to tie it up with the movie plot and assist to the meaning. In the article it says that we make immediate and long lasting judgements in that very first moment of experience. Much like seeing someone across a room who catches your eye, a title should attract both powerfully and authentically and in our case mysterious.

I had many choices for the titles and these were my ideas:


1- (111) this title helped develop the idea of dehumanizing our character by referring him as a number instead of a name, it also was quite simple and was able to catch the attention of the viewer, because it stimulates curiosity.


2-(The voice) this second title idea was inspired in the voices that drive and is almost the purpose of the character as it acts as the driving force behind his decisions. It also serves to dehumanize him, as it depicts "the voice" as the true personality taking over him.


3- (Don't look behind) this title shows mystery and creates the mood even before watching the film, it gives curiosity and chill, but it fails in bringing simplicity and while i thought more about it, it was very cliche..
